Everyone’s favorite indie artist, D∆WN, has dropped another masterpiece. “Honest” is a mellow one, completely different to “Not Above That” and “Dance”. The lyrics explore the back and forth messiness of a breakup over heavy hand claps and rolling snares. Of course, we are treated to D∆WN’s evocative vocals and resonating lyrics. “Loving you is like smoking spliffs/It’s a temporary high laced with side effects”, she murmurs over warming, enveloping synths. You can stream “Honest” on Spotify right now:
Look out for D∆WN’s third album, coming later this year.
