Jennifer Hudson is finally amping up promotions for her soulful new single, “Remember Me”, with the release of a stunning music video.
The visual, directed by Emil Nava, sees the big-voiced diva passionately lip syncing the emotional lyrics in an eerie car park, before reconnecting with her fictional ex (played by hunky model Rob Evans).
About “Remember Me”, J. Hud had this to say: “As an artist, when I discover music that I connect with deeply, it brings me a sense of excitement that I can’t put into words. That’s how I feel about “Remember Me”. Everything about it is special – from co-writing it with Jamie [Hartman, co-writer of Rag’n’Bone Man’s “Human”], to the recording process, to how it made me feel along the way. I just can’t wait to share it with the world.”
“Remember Me” is Jennifer Hudson‘s first single from the followup to her 2014 album, JHUD, and her first since signing with Epic Records. Hudson has also been appearing as a judge on The Voice UK, where she mentored the talent show’s winning act.
