SOYEON of (G)I-DLE, WINTER of aespa & LIZ of IVE have teamed up for a collaboration of epic proportions in “NOBODY”.
Sonically “Nobody” is defined by a funky rhythm and spirited brass melodies, while the lyrics celebrate the joy and excitement of being with someone special and the anticipation of shared experiences and adventures.
The link up in the music video is a bit of a let down though, as the trio have no scenes together at any point during the 2:48 music video – except a closing green-screen shot of the three of them standing together. The solo scenes in the “Nobody” music video does, however, allow each member to shine in their own way: SOYEON serves sultry old Hollywood glamour in a glitzy bar decorated with disco balls; WINTER’s face card is instantly approved in a luxurious hotel room; while LIZ takes over an expensive looking hallway.
With SOYEON, WINTER and LIZ all being from different top tier girl groups in the current K-pop landscape, collaborations of this scale are very rare – it’s a pleasure just to hear their individual charms and talents bounce off each other in this joint offering which is sure to go down as one of the most exciting crossover moments in K-pop history.
