Rising star Rachel Zegler teams up with hitmaker Jack Antonoff to unleash “Man of the House,” from the highly anticipated Romeo + Juliet revival – a powerful introduction to their Broadway debuts.
Romeo + Juliet, directed by Tony Award-winner Sam Gold, features Zegler as Juliet and Kit Connor as Romeo, taking the classic tale of star-crossed lovers and adding a contemporary flair. “Man of the House” is one of several songs Antonoff has penned for the new Broadway show and is released on his own label, Shadow of the City, as part of a partnership with Dirty Hit.
Coinciding with the play’s opening night on October 24th, “Man of the House” encapsulates the energy and emotion of the production. The show will run until February 16th at Broadway’s Circle in the Square Theatre.
Meanwhile, Rachel Zegler is quickly becoming one of the standout talents of her generation. She first stole our hearts as María Vasquez in Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story, a role that earned her a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical. Following that triumph, she dazzled audiences in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes and has a lineup of exciting projects ahead, including Netflix’s animated film Spellbound, the A24 comedy Y2K, and Disney’s live-action Snow White.
As Rachel Zegler takes the Broadway stage, we can’t wait to see where her talent will take her next.
