Genre-blending icon and GRAMMY® nominee Halsey has just dropped her fifth studio album, The Great Impersonator – and critics are already claiming it might be her most intense work yet.

Filled with raw emotion and sharp introspection, the album gives listeners a deeper glimpse into Halsey’s psyche. The songs leading up to its release— “I Never Loved You,” “Ego,” “Lonely is the Muse,” “Lucky,” and “The End”— set the stage for what many are calling a dark, complex, and haunting journey.

Halsey’s artistry is not just in her sound but her visuals, too. Teaming up with Vevo, she dropped a series of official live performance videos that embody different musical eras, starting with “Panic Attack,” where she channels Stevie Nicks in full ‘70s fashion. Draped in a vintage dress pulled from a famed LA wardrobe rental house, Halsey honors the rock mystique that echoes through the new album.

To celebrate the album release, Halsey hit the stage in Brooklyn on October 25 and Austin on October 27, performing the album in full for her fans. She’ll also headline a Halloween episode of Amazon Music Live on October 31, marking yet another unique showcase of her latest work.

In a quirky nod to the album’s title, Halsey spent the past month sharing her “impersonations” of musical icons like Dolly Parton, PJ Harvey, and Kate Bush, dropping snippets of the songs they inspired along the way. This playful, self-aware lead-up has kept fans engaged, eagerly awaiting the layers of influence and personal history she’s poured into The Great Impersonator.

Halsey continues to break records, with over 50 billion streams worldwide and two RIAA-Certified-Diamond hits. After four chart-topping, RIAA-Certified albums, she shows no signs of slowing down. The boldness of The Great Impersonator is a reminder that Halsey is, once again, unapologetically pushing boundaries and taking fans along for the ride.
