What mannequin rap duo FEMM have learned since their 2014 debut album FEMM-Isation is so vital, and their sophomore album is more than just survival – this is an 80s/90s J-POP REVIVAL.
Released digitally on October 18th and physically a week later on October 25th, 80s/90s J-POP REVIVAL will be “a FEMMish edgy attempt to discover new things by studying the past through scrutiny of the old” – or, in layman’s terms, FEMM will be updating classic J-Pop hits with contemporary pop sounds.
Boasting production from MYLK (Monstercat, Krewella, Slushii) and grime/trap producers Radical Hardcore Clique (Diplo, NERVO) the covers are sure to take on an interesting, futuristic sound the mannequins have become synonymous with. Perched!
