Did Hilegendary Duff Plagiarize Alexandra Stan?

Queen of promoting music, Hilary Duff, is back with a new bop! The singer, whose 2015 album Breathe In. Breathe Out. made our best of 2015 list, recorded a cute club version of the classic Fleetwood Mac track “Little Lies”. It serves as promo for the second season of the flop TV Land comedy “Younger”, which Hilary stars in. It’s on Spotify, and I have kindly embedded it below for easy listening.

What you don’t know is, Hilary was actually inspired by indie Europop artist Alexandra Stan’s version of the song. “I heard her song and I was like, ‘OMG I need to do, like, my own version of this!’,” Hilary mentioned in a quick email to us in between Tinder sessions.
