With her debut single Change, Franco-Malagasy artist DISARME steps boldly into the music scene, channeling the disillusionment of a generation caught between crisis and introspection. Rooted in the sonic echoes of ’90s and 2000s rock fused with contemporary pop, DISARME’s music aims to move hearts and confront the chaos of modern life.
Composed in a single night, Change is a haunting reflection on urban solitude. Born from her own moments of isolation, DISARME describes the track as a soothing expression of love and longing amidst the overwhelming noise of city life. The single was brought to life in collaboration with sound engineer Adam Rothschild and drummer Vincent Dorlipo, whose deliberate timing stretches the beat, creating a contemplative soundscape. Pam Risourié, her creative partner, brought fine-tuned sensitivity and vision to the project.
Shot on a vintage Sony Handycam, the accompanying video blends the nostalgia of early 2000s aesthetics with the raw, unfussy beauty of fleeting moments. Filmed between Leipzig and the French countryside, the video captures a drifting silhouette “between dog and wolf,” a poetic nod to the track’s meditative atmosphere.
Having already performed in Berlin’s music scene, DISARME will bring her electro-acoustic duo to France for the first time, promising an intimate yet powerful experience. With Change, she offers not just a song but a quiet manifesto: a call for connection in a world that feels too fast, too fragmented, and too much.
DISARME’s bittersweet melodies reveal the universal in the deeply personal, offering solace and beauty amidst the chaos.
