Today, rising indie-pop artist Dalia unveils her second EP, girl’s insane, a bold five-track project brimming with raw emotion and self-reflection. Featuring two brand-new songs—“volatile” and the title track, “girl’s insane”—the release navigates the turbulence of self-discovery and the beauty of embracing life’s messiness. Out now via APOLLO Distribution, girl’s insane showcases Dalia’s most vulnerable and ambitious work to date.
The EP’s title track serves as its emotional anchor, delving into the lingering impact of heartbreak. Written in the aftermath of a poignant therapy session, Dalia reflects, “This song came from a place of trying to understand why this experience shaped me so much and why I keep coming back to it years later. Now I just think it’s one of those things you never really get over—you just learn to live with it.”
Dalia’s creative process was shaped by a year of personal upheaval, including the realization that her antidepressants had stopped working, amplifying her emotions. “For months, I thought I was losing my mind, which is how the title girl’s insane came to be,” she shares. “Feeling deeply and in extremes is something I’ve now come to love about who I am, but there were definitely times I resented myself for it.”
With confessional lyrics, sweeping melodies, and an unflinching honesty, girl’s insane is a celebration of emotional volatility and resilience. “This EP is for everyone with big feelings, big hearts, and slightly unhinged brains. I love us!” Dalia proclaims.
From her rural Spanish roots to London’s indie scene, Dalia has built a reputation for evocative storytelling and a talent for turning personal struggles into universally resonant music. Influenced by Gracie Abrams, Bon Iver, and Phoebe Bridgers, she’s a voice for a generation craving authenticity.
With her new EP now out in the wild, Dalia is steadily carving her place in the indie-pop landscape. Girl’s insane marks a defining moment in her journey, solidifying her as an artist unafraid to embrace life’s emotional chaos.
